Simone Rennie
Simone is a Co-Chief Executive Officer of Rennie, based in Brisbane.
Prior to Rennie, Simone was responsible for Energy Market Regulation at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) across wholesale, retail, gas and emerging markets, as well as AEMO's regulatory program and governance framework. Simone previously held various senior roles, including Director within EY’s Global Power & Utilities practice and Australian Economics & Regulation practice, Director of Strategic Planning and Performance at the Queensland Department of Energy and Water Supply, Executive Officer at the Queensland Water Commission, and Head of Governance for the London Development Agency managing the Board and its sub-committees as it planned for the London Olympics. Simone's experience has spanned the energy, water, rural and regional development, and environment sectors.
Simone holds a Bachelor of Arts (Law and Business), a Masters of Corporate Governance (Distinction) from London South Bank University, Certificate in Business Sustainability (Net-Zero Emissions) through Cambridge University, and is a professional member of the Governance Institute of Australia.
