You will be responsible for undertaking high-quality research and analysis, drawing upon your previous experience in relevant roles and sectors, to produce effective communications, including drafting high-quality client deliverables and presentations, as well conducting effective engagement management across the engagement lifecycle, ensuring high quality client communications, deliverables, and overall engagement health. 

You will be actively participating and contributing to client meetings, as well as supporting business development and related activities, in relation to existing and prospective clients of Rennie Advisory.  

You will actively maintain good relationships with the broader team and contribute to guiding and mentoring junior staff and other duties commensurate with your role classification and capabilities as requested by the leadership of Rennie Advisory.

This includes Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG measurement and verification; ESG materiality assessments, ESG strategy, ESG standards and frameworks; and targets, metrics, reporting and data services to help position our clients for sustainable success. 

You will be responsible for supporting the provision of strategic, commercial, sustainability and business advisory services to clients of Rennie both in Australia and globally. As a part of your role, you will be undertaking high quality research and analysis, and presentation of findings to support client engagements and business development, including for Rennie’s RegAlert and Insights platform.

Skills and Experience 

Qualifications - tertiary degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Law, Sustainability, Environmental Management, or other relevant discipline.  

Experience - previous exposure to consulting or a relevant discipline would be highly regarded.  

Skills: 

  • Baseline sustainability / ESG knowledge including basic fundamentals of GHG accounting principles and core sustainability frameworks 

  • High level research and analysis skills, 

  • Effective written communication including excellent grammar, 

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills,

Our Business Advisory team is growing nationally, and we are now offering various opportunities for experienced consultants to play an integral role in shaping the growth and expansion of our service offerings. These include senior leadership team level roles.

The successful candidate will have ample opportunity to learn and develop across multiple senior levels and disciplines. Business Advisory forms part of our highly specialised national team, with a clear pathway to promotion and career trajectory as a part of our growing national firm.

  • Business transformation and program management

  • Business and operating model design and implementation

  • Digital/technology & data transformation

  • Asset management and operations optimisation

  • Supply chain management and optimisation

  • Sustainable finance and sustainable procurement

  • People, culture and change management

Previous consulting experience is essential. Demonstrated experience and results in business development is highly favourable.  

This is a full-time position based in either Brisbane or Melbourne.
