Job Description
This role falls within our Capital Advisory service line which is focused on helping clients to understand future scenarios, analyse impacts and opportunities, and identify strategic priorities for sustainable success.
Your Opportunity
We are now seeking applications for a Manager to join our Capital Advisory (Modelling) Service Line to contribute to our continued growth.
Our Modelling sub-service line is focused on developing financial models to support capital decisions for private and public sector clients. Working closely with other service lines in the business and our clients, our modelling team delivers model build and model review services in tandem with financial and commercial advice to drive capital preservation, optimisation and strategy.
You will manage, deliver and review a wide range of modelling engagements to support our clients in making critical business decisions. You’ll spend your time working with team members to deliver a wide range of engagements including financial modelling, decision support, transaction analytics, scenario analysis, options analysis and business case development. In this role, you will gain experience to further refine your technical modelling skills while growing relationships in the market by managing client engagements and supporting in bid development.
This is a full-time position based in any of our national locations.
Your Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience in business development and client management.
At least 5 years of consulting experience, ideally in a financial advisory based role or a deals team.
Ability to manage project expenditures against budget and revenue, and provide guidance to team members to ensure the completion of work deliverables.
Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft excel; prior experience in working with or building financial models is preferred.
Knowledge in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, strategy, and/or financial research is preferred.

About the Role
The role falls within our Strategy service line, which focuses on helping clients understand future scenarios, assess strategic opportunities, and identify strategic priorities to reposition for sustainable success. Key offerings include growth strategy, scenario development, net-zero transition strategy, strategic portfolio reviews, market entry strategy, market & competitor assessments, and commercial due diligence. Our team works across the energy value chain, including investors, developers, network businesses, retailers, energy service providers and government.
The Opportunity
We are now seeking applications for Consultants, Managers, Senior Managers or Associate Directors with strong experience in the energy sector to join our Strategy service line, based in Melbourne. You will be responsible for the effective engagement management (or delivery for consultant-level roles) across the lifecycle, ensuring high-quality client communications and deliverables and overall engagement success. You will also be strongly involved in building client relationships and, in senior roles, leading, identifying, and closing business development opportunities.
Previous consulting experience is essential.
Experience & Qualifications
2-10 years of consulting experience (depending on level), ideally in a top-tier consulting practice focused on the energy sector, or a directly relevant energy sector role.
Strong experience providing strategy services across a range of strategy topics, including market scans, strategy reviews, competitor assessments, growth strategy, etc.
Self-motivated, highly proactive, a team player, and having a resilient attitude.

We are now seeking applications for high-calibre Consultants and Senior Consultants with previous experience in commercial due diligence to join our growing national Strategy team.
You will be part of a strong team with a focus on excellence and client service, in an environment of learning and development. You will be responsible for leading structured problem solving, undertaking high-quality research and analysis, developing powerful insights which add value to our clients, and presenting findings to support client engagements and business development.
