Andy Fahey
Andy is a Manager with Rennie, based in Brisbane.
Andy is a Manager in the Policy & Reform practice, with over 10 years’ experience working in government policy and utility regulation. Andy has joined Rennie from the Australian Energy Regulator (AER), where he led aspects of regulatory determinations for distribution network service providers (DNSPs) and transmission network service providers (TNSPs), data gathering and management, and the development and issuance of Regulatory Information Notices (RIN) to regulated electricity and gas entities. Andy was also seconded from the AER to Power & Water Corporation in 2021-2023 to support and advise on the preparation of Power & Water Corporation’s regulatory determination proposal to the AER, to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and industry best practice.
Prior to working at the AER, Andy was a regulatory analyst at the ACT Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission (ICRC),working in both utility regulation and price-setting (standing offer electricity prices and water and sewerage services) and assisted in implementing the ACT’s Container Deposit Scheme.
